The Falath EVO (Evolution) is our new UCI-compliant aerodynamic road bike frame. The EVO has evolved from our previous Falath Pro and builds upon its current outstanding performance in terms of aerodynamics. The key differences, when compared to its predecessor, is that the Falath EVO has a thinner and taller downtube, along with a more aerodynamic design at the seat-stay. The design of the top tube creates an illusion of a slammed front end with a slightly lower handlebar drop that has produced a lower and more aerodynamic riding position whilst still allowing rider comfort. The Falath EVO frame is manufactured with unidirectional high modulus carbon fibers from the Japanese technology leader Toray and has 65%-85% more tensile strength than conventional carbon fibre. Although the EVO frame's down tube and forks have a much taller and thinner profile, this frame is approximately 80g lighter than the previous Falath Pro model. This is as a result of the carefully engineered Toray® carbon lay-up scheduling which has utilised more T1000 carbon fibre in important strength areas such as the head tube and bottom bracket. Our EPS moulding technology creates internal surfaces that are as smooth and seamless as the exterior producing enhanced strength due to the uniformity of the fibre moulding the frame to a consistently smooth and uniform tube thickness.. Elves use 3K carbon fibre Instead of unidirectional fibre to mould the head tube bearing and bottom bracket The Falath Evo has been designed specifically to leave enough clearance between the frame and the wheel-sets to ensure that the bike will accept 32c tyres if required. The rationale for the 32c tyres is that they can run lower pressures, whilst offering increased grip, confidence, comfort, a reduced risk of pinch flats with similar rolling resistance. All of this comes with a negligible effect on real world performance and often an improvement on roads that are not silky smooth. The Falath EVO, combined with new Elves OROME AEROEVO handlebars, allows you to thread the cables internally through the bars and headset directly into the frame.. Available in four widths and six lengths, the set-up comes with extra 3x10mm spacers so that you can set the position of your bars to your exact requirements.
